You Can Make Your Phone Calls Sound Clearer on Pixel

The Clear Calling function reduces background noise and improves voice quality.

This option makes it easier to listen to phone calls by reducing background noise and improving voice quality. Although Clear Calling was announced alongside the new Pixels, it didn't arrive on Android 13 at launch. But there is still a way to try Clear Calling right now.

As reported by Android Police, Clear Calling is available as part of Android 13 QPR1 beta 3, which means that to use it now you will need to install the beta version on your Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro. Installing beta software can be rewarding, because you get access to new features before most people.

However, with these benefits there is a risk: you are installing unfinished software on your device, which means that you may run into bugs and glitches that interfere with the daily use of your phone. If you decide to give up, Android will wipe your device. If you really want to try Clear Calling and other new features in QPR1 beta, understand the risks before installing.

To install the beta, you need to register your Pixel for the Android Beta for Pixel program. From there, log into your Google account, then choose your eligible Pixel. You will be asked to select the beta program to sign up and then accept the Terms of Service. After signing up, you will be able to install the beta from Settings> System Updates like any other update.

With Android 13 QPR1 beta 3 or later on your Pixel 7 or 7 Pro, go to Settings> Sound and vibration> Clear calls. Tap the switch to enable the feature and see if it improves the quality of your phone calls. Since it's still in beta, the feature may not work perfectly yet, but it's active. It won't even be a Pixel 7 exclusive for long. Google has announced that Clear Calling will also arrive on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, presumably in December's Feature Drop.
